Milliarum Kicked Off Spring with an Event Marathon

Under the theme „Strategy Royale: Call, Raise, or Fold?“, the DSAG Technology Days took place from April 2 to 4, 2025, at the RheinMain CongressCenter in Wiesbaden. Milliarum participated for the first time this year with its own booth. This was preceded by the DSAG Hackathon from March 29 to April 1, 2025, which was moderated by our SAP consultant Freya Wester-Ebbinghaus. And immediately afterward, we participated in the DSAG TechXchange 2025 on April 4 with a case competition: At 10:30 a.m., under the theme „Creating a Fiori App with the Milliarum UI5 Construction Kit in ABAP,“ we presented the development of an Overview Page application in SAP On-Premise.

Strategy is not a game of chance: the DSAG Technology Days 2025

Since SAP applications for portfolio, project, and resource management aren’t a game of chance, Milliarum was there in person this year when DSAG hosted the DSAG Technology Days 2025 under the theme „Strategy Royale: Call, Raise, or Fold?“ At our booth, we presented our technology products for strategically designed IT architectures in SAP: the „Milliarum UI5 Construction Kit“ and the „Milliarum AI Construction Kit.“ The „Milliarum UI5 Construction Kit“ made it possible to implement UI5 applications in the ABAP programming language with minimal effort and maximum design flexibility, in a creative and requirements-driven manner. The „Milliarum AI Construction Kit“ was developed for companies looking to enhance their SAP systems with AI capabilities: With its preconfigured scope of delivery, it enabled the intuitive creation of AI-based UI5 chat applications in SAP ABAP. „This allowed users to leverage the benefits of artificial intelligence in conjunction with SAP business applications and benefit from a user-friendly interface based on natural language,“ said Milliarum Managing Director Dirk Ott. „We were very pleased to have the opportunity to present our solutions to a broad audience of technology enthusiasts in Wiesbaden.“

DSAG Hackathon: No poker for future-proof AI solutions

The DSAG Hackathon, held from March 28 to April 1, 2025, served as a springboard to the DSAG Technology Days. There, young talents had the opportunity to realize their potential and develop their own AI agent to support companies in making business-critical decisions. We were particularly pleased that our SAP expert, Freya Wester-Ebbinghaus, served as a moderator this year: „In keeping with the motto of the DSAG Technology Days, investing in future-proof solutions based on AI is not a gamble. Creative development, technical expertise, and smart decisions are crucial. That’s what the DSAG Hackathon was all about.“ Thus, the participants faced the challenge—supported by experts from the Public Cloud Group and DSAG as the organizers—of developing an AI assistant using real customer data that that analyzed data and recognized patterns, reacted proactively to changes, identified key trends, and provided tailored recommendations.

TechXchange: Don't play poker, tinker instead

The grand finale of our Spring Awakening event marathon was the DSAG TechXchange, held immediately following the DSAG Technology Days. On April 4, SAP experts and Development and Operations (DevOps) enthusiasts came together to gain hands-on learning experiences that took their technical skills to the next level. Milliarum was there too: At 10:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m., we hosted a case competition focused on creating a Fiori Overview Page application in SAP On-Premise using our Milliarum UI5 Construction Kit.
