SAP PLM Roadshow Austria 2025

Future meets practice: Register now for the SAP PLM Roadshow Austria 2025 at ENGEL in Schwertberg
How can companies successfully transform their product development processes in a sustainable way and establish end-to-end digital workflows throughout the entire product lifecycle? The answer to this question was provided by the SAP PLM Roadshow Austria 2025, which Milliarum organized together with schultheiss consulting and CNT Management Consulting invited on September 23, 2025. The trip took them straight to the workplace, where digitalization was actively being put into practice: to the ENGEL AUSTRIA GmbH to Schwertberg in Upper Austria. Through the development and production of injection molding machines, technologies, and digital solutions, ENGEL has shaped the future of plastics processing. For one day, the focus was entirely on innovative PLM strategies, best practices straight from the industry, and concrete ways to successfully implement digitalization in the product development process.
Use cases from practice for practice
In addition to ENGEL, the Hammerer Aluminum Industries (HAI) presented its use case as part of the roadshow and demonstrated how digitalization can be implemented in complex engineering and manufacturing processes using SAP PLM as a key technology. ENGEL Austria showcased the integration of Teamcenter and SAP as part of the CTO+ approach. Participants gained exclusive insights into the company’s strategic digitalization initiative and ongoing transformation program. The focus was on the seamless integration between engineering and ERP as a key driver for end-to-end, collaborative processes. Hammerer Aluminium Industries (HAI) discussed how direct CAD-SAP integration in make-to-order (MTO) business led to greater efficiency, better data quality, and an optimized engineering-to-production process. In addition, participants learned how tools such as Signavio, LeanIX, and Cloud ALM contributed to holistic business transformation.
Knowledge, exchange and inspiration
The SAP PLM Roadshow Austria was more than just a professional event: It served as a platform for dialogue, for learning from real-world projects, and for gaining insight into the next wave of innovation in the SAP world. In addition to exciting project reports, participants could look forward to:
- a strategic impulse for the SAP PLM roadmap,
- compact insights into current developments in artificial intelligence in project and quality management,
- Impulses for optimizing engineering and manufacturing processes,
- plenty of room for exchange with other companies and SAP experts.
The event concluded with a panel discussion featuring representatives from SAP, ENGEL, HAI, CNT, schultheiss consulting, and Milliarum, during which attendees had the opportunity to ask questions, provide feedback, and get a glimpse of what lies ahead.
Three consulting firms, one goal: digitalization with substance
The SAP PLM Roadshow was a joint project by three partners who shared a common goal: to view digitalization not as an end in itself, but as a lever for sustainable business excellence. For more than 26 years, CNT Management Consulting has been one of the leading SAP consulting firms in the German-speaking world, supporting companies with S/4HANA transformations, PLM initiatives, and much more. schultheiss consulting was a specialized boutique consulting firm focused on digitalization strategies, innovation projects, and sustainable change with an eye toward the big picture. Milliarum brought many years of expertise in SAP PLM, engineering processes, and integrations, ensuring that digital solutions not only worked but also delivered real added value.
More about the SAP Roadshows
SAP roadshows are event formats at which SAP itself or, as with the SAP PLM Roadshow Austria, partner companies present current topics, products, solutions or best practices relating to the SAP world in various regions and cities. They serve as a platform for knowledge transfer, networking and exchange of experience with a strong practical focus and are aimed at IT managers and CIOs, department heads from engineering, production, logistics or purchasing as well as project managers and digitalization managers. They aim to impart knowledge, share best practices, promote dialog and build trust. SAP partners, such as Milliarum, are given the opportunity to showcase their expertise and meet interested parties in person.
