Implementing AI applications in SAP

 

Milliarum is one of the first SAP consulting firms to launch AI-based tools on the market: the "Milliarum AI Construction Kit" has been specially developed for companies that want to add AI-based functions to their SAP system. With preconfigured delivery scopes, AI-based UI5 chat applications can be created intuitively in SAP ABAP. Users can thus utilize the advantages of artificial intelligence in conjunction with SAP business applications and benefit from a convenient user interface based on natural language.

 

The Milliarum AI Construction Kit enables users to create user guidance using artificial intelligence with the help of voice-based interaction. This enables even occasional users to navigate SAP in a targeted manner and automate processes. This saves time and optimizes processes with potential for resulting increases in productivity. The tool provides a chat via an SAP UI5 user interface. It is possible to connect a variety of AI models. Local models, cloud models and the SAP AI Core with SAP Generative AI Hub are also supported. This means that you can create, operate and expand your own chat applications in the SAP ABAP-based tool.

 

"The use of artificial intelligence in SAP solutions is nothing new in itself," says Managing Director Dirk Ott. "In contrast to the cloud-based chatbots currently available and under development at SAP, we at Milliarum are concentrating on making them available for on-premise applications." The AI Construction Kit includes a generic AI chat for interacting with the AI as well as a customizing environment for individual configuration of the applications and for connecting various large language models (LLMs). The application uses UI5 and the Markdown format to display chat content in a user-friendly way. Through prompt engineering, the models can be further specified to create identities (personas) that are already optimized for specific use cases.
