With the General Chatbot, Milliarum is bringing a UI5-based chat interface to companies as an SAP add-on for interacting with artificial intelligence. The AI app can control SAP applications in the cloud or for SAP on-premise using natural language. This allows SAP functions to be started, tasks set as "prompt" tasks to be carried out and, with access to corresponding company-specific data, also as detailed analyses and evaluations in text form, as a graphic or table. be output. This saves time, increases productivity and reduces the learning curve for SAP users.

 

Artificial intelligence is finding its way into development, manufacturing, production and mechanical engineering. Its use promises greater productivity, lower costs, competitive advantages and more efficient processes. While SAP's approaches to integrating AI into the IT architecture focus on cloud solutions, Milliarum's latest add-on offers SAP users a chatbot that can also be used in SAP On-Premise. The general chatbot thus fulfills the widespread customer requirement for the greatest possible data security and extensive independence from external providers. The UI5-based chatbot for interacting with AI enables both local and cloud-based large language models (LLMs) to be connected.

 

The app makes SAP functions easier to use and can be adapted to specific application scenarios via customizing. Equipped with individually tailored access to company-specific data, this leads to more efficient knowledge management and supports the processing of SAP functions and coding for programming tasks. "The use of chatbots makes it easier to access SAP applications using natural language: all you have to do is enter the relevant information in the chatbot and the SAP function is started and executed as required," says Managing Director Dirk Ott. This eliminates the need for long familiarization periods and extensive training.

 

The general chatbot is standardized and can be used directly with a preconfigured scope of delivery thanks to the modern and intuitive user interface in UI5. Users can access the app via the Fiori Launchpad, the SAP Business Client or via URL. It is executable from ERP EHP8 and SAP_UI 7.54 and for all S/4HANA releases. Via the also introduced by Milliarum AI Construction Kit the general chatbot can be expanded with company-specific functions and tailored even more precisely to individual processes.
